Strengthening Polish Representation: PBWA President Completes OMI Leadership Program – Office of Multicultural Interests

We are very pleased to announce that the President of Polish Business WA (PBWA) Katarzyna Stawarz Kasia Stawarz has successfully graduated from the Office of multicultural Interests (OMI) Leadership & Governance Program, delivered in collaboration with the Australian Institute of Management – Western Australia (AIM WA).

The OMI Leadership & Governance Program is designed to equip professionals from culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) backgrounds with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to serve on boards and committees across government, corporate and community sectors.
The program develops capability in areas such as governance responsibilities, leadership ethics, financial oversight, strategic decision-making and effective contribution in organisational leadership.
It also includes a mentoring component to support participants throughout their governance journey.
The program brings together representatives from many multicultural communities, strengthening the presence of diverse voices in leadership and ensuring that boards and committees reflect the rich diversity of Western Australia.
This achievement is proudly supported by the dedicated OMI team, who continue to champion pathways for CaLD leaders and by experienced facilitators and mentors who guided participants through the complexities of governance, strategy and ethical leadership.
With our President’s successful completion of this respected and future-focused program, PBWA is in strong and capable hands.
Her expanded governance skills will support strong oversight, accountability, transparency and strategic direction for our organisation and community.
We also acknowledge the support of the industry mentors, facilitator Dee Roche and the presence of VIPs such as Hon. Dr Tony Buti Minister of Multicultural Interests and Kate Rowlands, A/ Executive Director, of the Office of Multicultural Interests, who continue to champion multicultural leadership across our state. In support of this milestone achievement, PBWA Vice President & Treasurer, Aneta Gradek, proudly attended the graduation ceremony, representing PBWA and celebrating this significant moment for the Polish business community. Please join us in congratulating our President on this outstanding achievement — a proud moment for PBWA and the Polish community in Western Australia.
